Description
The High-Level Mayors’ Dialogue is part of the program dedicated to mayors during the high-level week of the World Summit on the Information Society Forum 2022. The event on “Smart Cities, Drivers of Innovative Sustainable Development” is open to all stakeholders. It can be attended in person or online.
The use of ICT and connectivity have great potential to accelerate urban development policies, to bridge the digital divide and to develop knowledge societies. Scientific and technological innovation is a key enabler across areas as diverse as medicine, green energy, digital public services, etc.
Mayors will present technologies and innovations introduced in their cities to advance smart urban development ensuring that the services are accessible to all – including in relation to health, education, environment, employment, sustainable production and consumption and public administration. Experts from international organizations and the audience will challenge the speakers and join the discussion.
