Geneva Cities Hub is a jury member of the Eduki competition

Eduki’s national competition invites students from all over Switzerland to submit projects on selected sustainable development goals. This year, the theme is «LET’S GO SUSTAINABLE! » Think global and act local. This edition focuses on SDGs 11, 12 and 13.

Given the focus on SDG 11 “Sustainable cities and communities”, the Geneva Cities Hub was invited to assess the projects submitted by students in the category “Action Concrète”. More than 40 projects were carefully evaluated by 3 jury members: Ms. Pauline Leroy, Communication officer, Geneva Cities Hub, Ms. Celia Sepe, President, Lyoxa, and Mr. Alejandro Bonilla, President, Greycells.

“It was exciting to discover the vision of children and adolescents on sustainable cities, consumption and production, and biodiversity!” reflected Ms. Leroy after the evaluation with the other jury members.

The awards ceremony took place on 4 May at the Palais des Nations, in the presence of the laureates. 27 projects were awarded with the participation of Ms. Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, Amb. Mr. Jürg Lauber, Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations and Ms. Francine de Planta, President of Eduki.
